Marketplace rules
SEMO Boutique works because people treat it like a real community. These rules stay simple on purpose. Follow them and you are welcome here.
What is encouraged
- Honest listings with real photos that match the item.
- Fair prices and clear terms for pickup, delivery, or trade.
- Respectful messages and follow through on agreed meetups.
- Closing out old listings when your item is sold or gone.
What is not allowed
You may not use SEMO Boutique to post, sell, or trade:
- Stolen property or anything you do not have the right to sell or trade.
- Illegal drugs or related gear.
- Weapons or items that are restricted by law.
- Counterfeit goods or knockoffs of branded items.
- Anything that violates Missouri or federal law.
You also may not use this site for scams, harassment, threats, or other abusive behavior. If you are here to run a scam or stir up trouble, this is not your place.
How to act
- Treat people the way you would if you were dealing face to face in town.
- Be clear about price, condition, and pickup or delivery details.
- Show up when you say you will or let the other person know if plans change.
- Do not create fake or duplicate accounts to mislead anyone.
Reporting problems
If you see a listing that looks wrong or someone is acting abusive or suspicious, we want to know about it.
- Use any report tools available on the listing or in your account.
- Or contact us with a link to the listing and a short note about the problem.
We may review and remove listings or accounts that break these rules. Keeping the marketplace clean matters more than letting a few bad actors stay.
No guarantee and no liability
SEMO Boutique does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing. SEMO Boutique, its owners, and any sponsors are not responsible for any transaction, dispute, loss, or damage. All deals are strictly between users.
Rule changes
These rules may be updated from time to time. The latest version on this page is the one that applies.
